There are many websites which claim to give insight into the thoughts of the founding fathers of America, and most of them support their conclusions with a great number of quotations from the writings of that era.  We have discovered, however, that most modern reprintings of the works of the founders have endured a significant amount of editing to remove as much of their Christian character as possible.  We are therefore endeavoring to collect digital copies of the earlier editions and to provide links to their content.  We are immensly grateful for the efforts of those at Google Books, Project Gutenberg and the Internet Archive which have made this collection possible.
